Rights and Obligations of Foreigners in Romania

Rights of foreigners :
(1) Foreigners residing legally in Romania enjoy general protection of persons
and assets, as guaranteed by the Constitution and other laws, and the rights stipulated in
international treaties to which Romania is a party.
(2) Foreigners who are legally in Romania can move freely and establish their residence or,
where appropriate, residence anywhere in Romania.
(3) Foreigners who legally reside in Romania and temporarily leaving Romanian territory
have the right to rejoin the duration of validity of the residence permit.
(4) Can I get social security measures from the state, under the same conditions as
and Romanian citizens, only foreigners with residence or domicile in Romania.
(5) Foreigners who received a document issued by the Romanian Immigration Office have
the right to verify the personal data contained in it and, where appropriate, request
correction or deletion of data that is not real.
(6) Foreigners enrolled in education at all levels have access without restrictions on activities
training school and in society.
 Obligations of foreigners :
(1) While in Romania foreigners are obliged to respect the Romanian legislation.
(2) Foreigners can not hold Romania political parties or other organizations or
Similar groups them and can not take part in them, and can not hold
public dignities and can not initiate, organize or participate in demonstrations or meetings bringing
public order or national security.
(3) Foreigners can not finance political parties, organizations, groups or demonstrations or meetings of
those provided in par. (2).
(4) Aliens in Romania are obliged to respect the purpose for which they were
granted the right to enter and, if necessary, to remain on the territory of Romania, not remain
Romania over the period for which they were approved residence and to
make all necessary efforts to get out of Romania until the expiry of this
period.
(5) Foreigners who enter the Romanian territory or out from it are required
to control for crossing state law.
(6) Aliens in Romania have the obligation to obey the law,
control of police and other competent public authorities in this regard.
